We believe the best adventures are go-with-the-flow style. That is why aside from trekking Mt. Rinjani, we offer custom tours that let travelers see the real side of Lombok but in a casual style. Rather than booking a traditional planned tour, you simply travel with one of our guides who will show the real heart and soul of Lombok. You decide on the day what exactly you want to do. We have a list of options to choose from.

Overview

We offer a 2 day / 2 night tour where you can pick and choose your adventure depending on your energy level. While some travelers are coming in fresh spirits from Bali, many are often continuing from Gili Islands or fresh off of Mt. Rinjani. Some travelers are full of energy and ready to move, while others may be looking for a more chill Lombok experience. Our Lombok Island Adventure gives you options that are tailored to your groups' specific situation. You can take the advice of our guides, or not…it’s up to you! Your guide is not just a knowledgeable local, but a new friend who will feel like family by the time you are done. You may even be invited to dinner with their family and friends!

This is a real go-with-the-flow way to experience Lombok, in the most down-the-earth way possible.

From Bangsal Port / Lombok Airport

If you are coming from Gili Islands or Bali, you will arrive into Bangsal port. To get the most out of your adventure, you should take the earliest ferry possible. We also offer a private speed boat if you are coming from one of the Gili Islands (US$20 total split between passengers). Once you arrive at the port, you will be picked up and taken to homestay in Senaru which is about 1-1.5 hours away. There you can drop off your bags and enjoy the nearby waterfalls. Dinner is served that evening at your homestay.

The 2nd day, you will adventure throughout Senaru and north Lombok. At the end of the day, you will return to the same homestay for your final night there. Dinner is served in the evening as well.

The 3rd day, you will adventure to the west & south side of Lombok. You can travel as far south as KUTA, but most travelers opt to finish at the Sasak Village. This day is finished by 17:00 in order to catch the ferry back to the Gili Islands or Bali.

From Mt. Rinjani

If you are already hiking Mt. Rinjani with us and would like to see more of Lombok after your trek, you can simply come back to the homestay after your trek. You can visit waterfalls in the evening which are only a 20 minute walk on the trail directly in front of our homestay.

The 2nd day, you will adventure throughout Senaru and north Lombok. At the end of the day, you come back to your homestay.

The 3rd day, you will be picked up from the homestay in Senaru and travel throughout the west & south parts of Lombok. You will catch the ferry at 17:00.

Accommodation

From the port or airport, you will be brought to spend the night at our homestay. During the busy season we offer multiple locations to stay.

Additional accommodation before and at the end of the tour can be arranged for an extra cost.

Panoramic views of Mt. Rinjani

The Official Lombok-Indonesia.org Villas in Senaru feature six private villas and a small restaurant with panoramic views of Mt. Rinjani. Built specifically with hikers in mind, all rooms include air conditioning and hot water for a comfortable stay before or after your trek. The location offers a convenient starting point for Mt. Rinjani hikes, right in the heart of Senaru. Completed in August 2025, the property is continually upgraded and improved to enhance guest comfort.

The on-site restaurant provides a relaxing place to enjoy meals while taking in mountain views. It’s an ideal base for travelers looking for comfort, scenery, and easy access to Rinjani trails.

During peak season, our homestay often reaches full capacity. When this happens, we work closely with trusted neighboring homestays to ensure all guests are comfortably accommodated.

Adventure Options

Organic Farms

Visit the local organic farms of North Lombok. Walk through the rice fields, taste the wild onions, and sit with locals as you experience the real farm life of the Sasak people.

Waterfalls

There are many waterfalls all over the island, but specifically in the north of Lombok. Get a natural massage under waterfalls and feel the power of nature.

Lombok's Oldest Mosque

There are countless mosques all over Lombok, but the first ever built is the Beleq mosque in the north. It has a traditional style and has survived many strong earthquakes due to it’s bamboo construction.

Sasak Stick Fighting

Sasak stick fighting, or Pareson as it is called locally, is a long held tradition of the Sasak people. If you are lucky enough to be traveling when an event is happening, it is a must see!

Local Coffee Makers

Visit local coffee farms and meet coffee makers. You’ll never taste anything quite like Lombok style coffee.

ABOUT OUR TEAM

We are Hill, Hamdi, Toni, Adi, Abil, Piot, Seting & Awal—the local guiding team behind Lombok-Indonesia.org. We’re childhood friends who grew up together in Senaru, with a deep knowledge of our village, Mount Rinjani, and the trails we call home. We look forward to sharing them with you.

Climbing Mt. Rinjani and exploring the island is what we do best, and we’ve trekked to the summit hundreds & hundreds of times! We work hard to keep our mountain clean and strive to be the most progressive & eco-friendly tour company on Lombok. Our team loves to make movies about Mt. Rinjani & Lombok.
