Yes, all Komodo boats have life jackets and they are required by Indonesian maritime safety regulations. Every phinisi or liveaboard we work with carries enough jackets for all guests and crew, plus additional emergency flotation devices. These are stored in easy to reach areas, and the team knows exactly where everything is located in case of an emergency.

During the safety briefing at the start of your trip, the crew will show you where the life jackets are kept and explain how to use them. They are also available for snorkelling activities if you prefer extra buoyancy in the water. Many beginners and families appreciate having that option for added comfort and confidence.

Boats in Komodo take safety seriously because conditions can change quickly at sea. Choosing a reputable operator guarantees that the safety equipment is in good condition and properly maintained. On our cruises, we check all gear regularly so you can relax and enjoy the trip knowing everything is prepared.
